Meet by Maucker Union Outdoor Fountain (groups depart at 9:30 promptly!)
Walk, run, or bike – you choose!  Walk:  enjoy a leisurely guided walk led by Tallgrass Prairie Center staff which will explore the Campus Preserves and trail system near campus.  Run:  the Panther Pacers Running Club will lead a run along trails east and northeast of campus.  Bike:  let UNI staff members who enjoy cycling lead you along trails east and north of campus, through Black Hawk Park and around Big Woods Lake – must bring your own bike and helmet to participate.  Note:  the Run and Bike tours will stop at Downtown Panther Prowl before returning to campus.

Strayer-Wood Theatre.  Will be located in the Kamerick Courtyard, the SWT lobby, and the Bertha Martin Theatre.
If you are a new student, we would love to have you join us for this informal gathering.  This is an opportunity to meet other new students, and also to meet faculty from the Theatre department and the leaders of our three student organizations, UNISTA, Alpha Psi Omega (APO), and USITT Student Chapter.  We hope to use this time to give you information about the department, the curriculum and our production practices.  You’ll have time for a break before returning students show up for our Fall Kickoff Meeting.

If you are a new, or returning, military or veteran student, or family member, please stop by the Vet Center for an informal orientation. This is a chance to learn more about Military and Veterans Student Services and get to know members of the UNI Veterans Association (UNIVA). Staff members from the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid Office, Admissions Office, and Student Advising Office, as well as the Black Hawk County VA Office will be on hand to provide important information and answer questions. 2 - 8 p.m. - College Hill Fall Kickoff

The first-ever College Hill Carnival will be put on by College Hill Partnership, a non-profit dedicated to community and economic development in Cedar Falls' historic College Hill district. The event will serve as a welcome-back for students as well as a showcase for College Hill's businesses, with many businesses hosting either a food booth or carnival game. The carnival will also feature a dunk tank with a number of notable figures from the University and surrounding community. Proceeds from the dunk tank will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley.
The big attractions will be set up in the parking lot off the corner of College and West 22nd, but we will have events taking place all over the Hill.
